The ultimate Greek Recipe for Tomato Feta Pasta

Tiktok made this simple dish famous world-wide and we tried it with our authentic Greek recipes.

We used the recipe from Tik Tok and added a Greek twist to it. Tomato, feta, and pasta are the essential ingredients of Mediterranean diet and we cannot emphasize enough how important it is to use good quality ingredients. INGREDIENTS

2 pt. cherry or grape tomatoes

3 cloves garlic, smashed

1/2 c. Select Bakery extra virgin olive oil

Limani Sea Salt

Anatol Ground Black Pepper

1 tsp. of Pesto (optional)

(8-oz.) block of Epiros Greek Feta

3 sprigs thyme 

10 oz. pasta – we used No. 6. Misko Pasta, but you can make it with any shape

Zest of 1 lemon (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400°. In a large ovenproof skillet or medium baking dish, combine tomatoes, crushed garlic, and most of the olive oil. Season with salt and red pepper flakes and toss to combine. 
  2. Place feta into the center of the tomato mixture and drizzle top with remaining olive oil. Scatter thyme over tomatoes. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until tomatoes are bursting and feta is golden on top. 
  3. Meanwhile, in a large pot of salted boiling water, cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  4. To skillet with tomatoes and feta, add cooked pasta, reserved pasta water, and lemon zest (if using) to skillet and stir until completely combined. Garnish with basil before serving.
