Select Bakery is a fantastic family run bakery and market in East York. They carry traditional Greek pastries and desserts that are old school and modern. The traditional pitas are incredible we had numerous kinds one our last visit in store. We stocked up on hard to find cheeses and goodies to... bring back to BC such as hard to find Greek spirits and wines.Our own Grandpa Js Seasoning are stocked in store. A must try is Greko Lemon for delicious Greek flavour at home. Update: hadn't visited in a long time. Lots of new products, but prices have gone up even more significantly than previous visits. Disappointing to see after years of being a loyal customer.The chocolate baklava and similar small size treats are now $35/kg.Puff pastry, phyllo dough are $5+Great... sweet and savory selection! Freshness, packaging and service are excellent, however prices have increased significantly.read more

Simply put, this is one place you have to visit to believe the variety, quality and savory taste of their handmade products. Whether you buy items to take home and enjoy with friend and family or eat-in on their premises, the parking available there allows you to truly enjoy their authentic... European cuisine, regardless of whether you're there for Bougatsa and a fresh latte, baklava or even Tiramisu and a latte you'll never go wrong there. Today I visited them again to pickup some things for home and am very pleased with everything, of course!This week I had their delicious bougatsa and tried their kourabiedes. Wow is all I can say! Thank you all so much for making such amazing things.And yet again on 07/24/23 they didn't disappoint. Just can't get enough of the wonderful items from this place.12/13/24 - Again I stopped by these folks and enjoyed their food and service. Nothing like a fresh spanakopita, bougatsa, and coffee. Wow!01/21/25 - Once more and this place NEVER disappoints with my favorites. Not sure how did can taste any better than this folks. Thanks.05/08/25 (and earlier in April as well) - Just can't get enough of this place. My usual is always an amazing treat. Made and served with pride, and eaten with a large smile and vigor. Can't say enough about the people here and their products. Just wish I could carry home a nice tiramisu cake, but I'm afraid I'd eat half of it myself veggie I get home using the ttc.11/25/25 - Just can't say or get enough of this place. If they were closer to home, I'd have no choice but to try everything slowly, and then try to stay awake on my walk home. I tried their French stick bread a few months ago and loved it as well. Can't imagine going through this area and not stopping-in for some treats and lunch. Thank you so much for keeping old school European traditions and techniques alive and available to everyone without compromise.read more

This is the spot for Greek pastries and baked goods for us. We walk here and the kids love so much here. There are some staples we get that are always the same, so good! The koulouria, mustokouloura, pites, and the frozen pastichio my family loves. it's really good. Freindly and easy staff. Been... there forever, and keeping up the family business nicely! love to come here regularly. Try the diples if like, they're the best in the city.read more

I came here for the first time after driving many times past and I wanted to see the inside. I was greeted warmly by staff who gave me great options to try for my first time. A very nice bakery to have a coffee and treat. Their village bread was also very tasty. I hope to come back soon and try... their other baked goods and deli assortments.read more

Today July 21, 2025, my family and I had a delicious freshly baked strawberry shortcake from Select bakery. It was so fresh and flavourful. I highly recommend this Bakery on Donlands Ave. 10/10

Great Greek bakery. I would recommend it but the serano has more options and is a bit cheaper. This location is great for their baklava.

We got a birthday cake for our toddler from here and it was absolutely delicious. The decorations were adorable, but the cake was just so good. Every adult commented on how good the cake tasted, and took several servings of it. The price was also so reasonable. Cannot recommend them enough.

Yes we carry many gluten-free option. For instance our mousses, rice pudding, macarons, and almond cookies are all gluten free.
Do you make custom cake?
Yes we do, please check the website for various options or visit us in store for a consultation.
Does your bread contain any preservatives?
Our bread does not contain any preservatives, just the best and freshest ingredients.
What shipping options are you offering?
– You can order with Pick Up in Store service, in this case shipping is of course free of charge.
– Within certain areas of Toronto City and GTA we offer delivery by our courier with 1 business day. Simply enter your delivery address when you checkout and our shipping calculator will offer you the options and costs.
– Outside the GTA we offer Expedited Shipping or Xpress Shipping Canada wide with Tracking Number and Signature Service. Please note that if your order contains baked goods or cheese we can only send your order with Xpress Shipping in order to make sure you receive perishable items very fresh.
Do you sell Greek religious items?
Yes we do, you can purchase in-store or online our in-stock religious items from charcoal to stefanothikes.
